Back in August, Easy Kiddo, Breaking Aim and the Rhythm and BPM performed at Strange Days in Montgomery as part of a benefit for the Family Sunshine Center. It was for a good cause, and we were all honored to be a part of it.
The sad part was what prompted the benefit show: the mother of my friend Stephanie was murdered earlier this year in a domestic violence incident. She, along with Hillary of Pint Bottle Photography and Nina of Easy Kiddo, got together and planned the benefit show in honor of her mother.
Yesterday, the Montgomery Advertiser ran a feature story about Stephanie. Read it here: “When love turns deadly: Stephanie Hanvey honors her mother’s memory by getting involved”
In other news, the Capital City Free Press has endorsed Joe Hubbard for Alabama House district 73. Read the endorsement here: Our Stand: House District 73 deserves a new vision.
Newsweek has run a very interesting article on the Tea Party: “How Tea Partiers Get the Constitution Wrong.”
