News for tomorrow

Tomorrow, Hail the Titans is playing at the Alley Bar in downtown Montgomery with Hellakopta of Love and The Banditos. It’s for an “Indie in the Alley” night.

I believe this is the first time they’ve done such a thing. As far as I know, they normally have one cover band that plays all night.

They normally start charging cover at 8 p.m. The music will start around 10 p.m. and the cover is $10. The venue is 21+.

In their “Weekly News Blast,” RSVP Magazine published this: “‘INDIE in the Alley.’ indie (n): a form of independent rock music slightly left of mainstream which you only learn about from someone slightly more hip than yourself. 3 incredible bands: Banditos/Hellakopta/Hail the Titans.”

I don’t know if our music necessarily fits in the “indie” definition above, but it’s nice that the bands were called “incredible.”

Also, our main band photo from our Facebook page (the one taken by Pint Bottle Photography) is currently on the Alley Bar’s website, so check that out before it disappears.

In other news, I saw a quote today that caught my attention. I had not heard it before, but since I’ve been in a heightened philosophical mood recently, it stood out, so I looked for more information.

It seems the quote is attributed to Mother Teresa: “If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you. Be honest and frank anyway.”

Also, my new article, “Thou Shalt Not Pander,” is on the Capital City Free Press website.
