Seriously, if you still haven’t heard “Trembling Hands” by Explosions in the Sky, you’re missing out. What are you waiting for?
With that out of the way, here are some noteworthy things going on this weekend:
Friday, in Montgomery, my friend Jason Fifield is playing at Santa Barbara on Vaughn Rd. with Amy McCarley and September Reed. The Facebook event says it starts at 8 p.m., which seems early for a Friday night show, but if you get there at 8, at least you know you won’t miss anything.
Saturday at Head on the Door in Montgomery, my friends in Flip the Switch are having their quarterly “farewell” show with Skeptic? from Birmingham. 10 p.m. Click here for details.
I won’t be able to make their show on Saturday, however, as Hail the Titans is playing in Mobile, Ala. with The Port Wine Stain. The show is at The Blind Mule. Click here for details. Here is the flier:
And on Sunday, Hail the Titans is heading over to Panama City Beach, Fla. for a Spring Break show with Citizen Icon (from Atlanta). Michael Compton and Diesel are also listed on this show. The venue is Ms. Newby’s at 8711 Thomas Dr. Click here for details. Big thanks to Kevin Burnes (@StickDelScorcho) for hooking us up on this show.
Since it’s Spring Break, if you’re making a trip to the Gulf Coast area, stop by Mobile and PCB for the shows this weekend and hang out with us!
