Shows, shows and shows…
On Friday, there are a few things going on:
Helicity Montgomery is holding their “The Future is Now” event inside the old Brew Pub building downtown. The organization has been collecting ideas on what Montgomery residents want to see in town – what kind of events, concerts, exhibitions, etc. That starts at 5 p.m. and goes until 8:30.
After the event, things move into the Alley area (outside) where there will be live music. It’s free and all-ages. Hail the Titans is scheduled to perform, along with Future Self, Three Happenin’ Guys and …and the Lawyers. Hail the Titans will start things off at 9 p.m.
That same night, at New South Books downtown on Court St., Jeff McLeod is performing some improv music, along with Christofer Varner and Killick. That show begins at 8 p.m. It is also all ages and only $5 to get in.
Also on Friday, Head on the Door is hosting a show with Random Conflict and Death is a Dialogue.
Saturday, Hail the Titans is heading to Pensacola, Fla. for the “Let’s Talk Business” rock show with Mr. Fahrenheit and Eerie Rockwell. That show is at The Big Easy Tavern.
If you’re in Montgomery on Saturday, stop by Head on the Door to see The Jager Brothers and Apsis. Find Mike from The Jager Brothers and Chip from Apsis and tell them I said “hello,” if you don’t mind. (Chip may not remember me, so if he happens to look confused or say, “Who the hell is Josh Carples?” it’s OK. He was in a band called “Clownhouse” when I was in a band called “12th Hour” and Mike was in a band called “PKD.” It was a long time ago.)
On Sunday, Hail the Titans is returning to Ms. Newby’s in Panama City Beach. We had a blast last time we played there. In fact, Kevin Burnes (@StickDelScorcho) took this video of us last time, so if you have friends or family in the PCB area, please tell them to come hang out with us!
