It’s strange to sit down and try to write a blog post when you’re almost at a loss for words. My mind keeps rotating between “Wow!” and “Thank you!”

On Monday, May 30, somewhere around 10 p.m. or so, we (Hail the Titans) launched an IndieGoGo fundraising campaign to release our  album, “Hymns of Mare Nostrum.” I posted “Hail the Titans needs your help!” the next morning.

Well, as of this morning – just over two weeks into the month-long campaign – you have gotten us to our goal! Our goal was set at $1,300, and we currently sit at $1,350! (And there are still about two weeks left!)

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Your love and support means the world to us, and we can’t thank you enough!

We will be starting on the perks in July – we’ve got some didgeridoos to make and decorate, a painting to get started on, some posters, shirts, etc. – and our plan is to release the album by the end of summer. Please make sure you’ve clicked “Like” on our Facebook page and/or following us on Twitter as we’ll be sending out updates as things progress.

Also, the campaign will still run until the end of the month, so if you want any of the “perks” that we have listed on the IndieGoGo site, they are still available. We’re already $25 past our goal as I type this; they will let us go beyond that. (Dinner, anyone?)

If you have any questions; if you’ve donated and your address is changing before the album release; if your email address changes; if you want to take me out for coffee; if you just want to say “Hey!”… whatever the case may be, email me at joshcarples[at]gmail[dot]com.

Thanks again!
