There is an art show in Montgomery tomorrow night. Seven artists, various media, no cover charge. The Löwbraü Art Collective Show will feature works by Hillary Andrews (Pint Bottle Photography / Ah Ha Designs), Michelle Dopson (Monarch Images), David C. Rohn, Kevin Sanders (the artist who did the octopus design in the Hail the Titans “Hymns of Mare Nostrum” album), Ashley Smith, Kevin Spotswood and David Vollmer. It starts at 6:30 at Head on the Door. More info here.

After that, you can head over to 1466 Furnace St. for “an evening with G-Side.” The Athens, Ala.-based hip-hop group has been in SPIN Magazine and the Washington Post. The show starts at 10 p.m. The Furnace Street address is the place where the Denied and Underexposed art events were held prior to the use of the Kress building.

If you didn’t know, Murder by Death has a new album coming out. The single, “Lost River,” is currently available to hear on RollingStone.com. Recently, I saw the film “God Bless America,” directed by Bobcat Goldthwait. A dark comedy, for sure, detailing the murderous adventures of a man who befriends a teenage girl, and together, they go around taking out citizens who fall into the selfish, rude and reality-TV-obsessed culture.

The film is summed up by the tag line: “Taking out the trash, one jerk at a time.” It’s entertaining and definitely worth watching.
