Yes, I’m that guy who would probably Instagram a bacon cheeseburger and tag it with #vegan, #healthy and #organic just because, well… just because. (Side note: Yes, I just used “Instagram” as a verb.)
That being said, this blog post about potato chips (hashtag spoiler alert) is in the “food” category, so feel free to debate whether a mass-produced, lab-experiment potato chip should be in that category or not.
But I digress.
I took the opportunity this past weekend to do the taste test on these new Lays flavors: Chicken & Waffles, Sriracha and Cheesy Garlic Bread.
I’ll go ahead and skip right to the rankings:
2. Cheesy Garlic Bread
3. Chicken & Waffles
1. Sriracha: Pretty good flavor, but don’t expect it to bring the heat.
2. Cheesy Garlic Bread: It does taste cheesy and garlic…y(?) It’s OK, but not worth getting excited about.
3. Chicken & Waffles: I love some fried chicken and waffles. It’s true. But putting that flavor on a potato chip doesn’t work. It just doesn’t. In theory, this should be really good; in reality, it’s not. Should someone be punched in the face for this? Probably.
So there you go. Save your taste buds. Or don’t. I don’t care. But either way, you’re welcome.
