The Devil’s Hand is Behind Me

What do you do when you want to write a headline for two short films? You combine them into a sentence that sounds like it makes sense, but really doesn’t in the grand scheme of things… like I just did.

Two made-in-Alabama short films became available for viewing this week!

The film Behind Me, by writer/director Rebecca Pugh, was filmed in June last year in Birmingham (and got me my first IMDB credit for crew work.) After making the film festival rounds, it is now available to watch online. Read about it here. Watch it here.

The Devil’s Hand was filmed in the Montgomery area and directed by Jimmie Rogers. I remember part of it – the speech in front of the Capitol – being filmed in June 2012. The guys at Eagle Road Productions have now made the film available online. Watch it here.

And this seems like a good time to remind people that the Montgomery Film Festival is accepting submissions for their 6th installment, which will happen on Jan. 30, 2015 at the Capri Theatre.
